Membership Categories

Below is a description of each membership category.

REGULAR GOLF, CLASS OF MEMBERSHIP (Class A Shareholder)
In accordance with the Shorehaven Golf Club By-Laws, membership is comprised of two classes, Regular Golf Members, who are holders of one share of Common Class A Voting Stock in Shorehaven Golf Club, and Associate Members, who are non shareholders. At the time of application for membership, if the prospective Member is married, a joint determination by the spouses shall be made as to who shall be the applicant for membership. Upon acceptance, the applicant shall then be the Designated Member.

REGULAR GOLF MEMBERSHIP - All Regular Golf Members, together with their spouses and/or unmarried children up to and including age twenty-two (22), shall have all athletic and Club privileges subject to the By-Laws and Rules and Policies of the Club.

A child of a member who has membership privileges pursuant to this category and reaches the age of 23 years shall remain a member until December 31 in the calendar year in which they have attained the age of 23 years.


ASSOCIATE CLASS OF MEMBERSHIP (Non Class A Shareholder)
Associate Members are those Members who are designated by the Board of Directors, in accordance with the By-Laws, for a particular classification of Associate Membership.
Associate Members may not hold office, may not hold Common Class A Voting Stock and are not entitled to any distributive share in the assets of the Club upon dissolution, or have any right with respect to any property of the Club. Associate Membership shall have athletic and Club privileges as defined by the category of Associate Membership granted by the Board of Directors. At the time of application for membership, if the prospective Member is married, a joint determination by the spouses shall be made as to which spouse shall be the applicant for membership. Upon acceptance, the applicant shall then be the Designated Member.

ASSOCIATE - REGULAR MEMBERSHIP - Membership in this category allows the Member, together with his/her spouse and/or unmarried children, up to and including age twenty-two (22), all athletic and Club privileges with the exception of limited access to the golf course, with the following restrictions applying:
  1. Play is permitted on non-holiday weekdays only, upon payment of a greens fee.
  2. Total play may not exceed ten (10) rounds of golf per year, per family.
  3. Members in this category may not have guests on the golf course at any time.
  4. In addition to the golf privileges described in 2. above, children of Members in this category may participate in group instruction on authorized days upon payment of a fee.
A child of a member who has membership privileges pursuant to this category and reaches the age of 23 years shall remain a member until December 31 in the calendar year in which they have attained the age of 23 years.

ASSOCIATE - CLUBHOUSE MEMBERSHIP MEMBERS A - This category is open to NEW Members. Clubhouse Members along with their spouses and/or unmarried children up to and including age twenty-two (22) are entitled to the privileges of the clubhouse, swimming pool complex and attendance at social events. This membership does not include the use of the Club’s athletic facilities, namely, the golf course, tennis and paddle tennis courts. Minor children of Clubhouse Members may be enrolled in the Summer Camp conducted by the Club. They shall be exempted from the prohibition on usage of the Club athletic facilities when those facilities are used in conjunction with camp activities. This exemption is in effect only during camp activities and at no other times.
